The central mission of all Bible believing churches was established by Jesus Christ Himself when He told His disciples to “…Go ye into all the world, andpreach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15). Jesus expanded on this thought in Matthew 28:18-20, when He said, “… All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world,” Therefore reaching the lost, baptizing, and discipling the saved are the focus of much of the work that is done by the Open Bible Baptist Church family. However, demonstrating the love of God in the world, being “salt” and “Light”, is also an essential tenant of God’s church; the “Body of Christ”.
AT OBBC, we endeavor to minister to the needs of the lonely, sick, poor, widows, orphans, elderly, down-trodden, rich, strong and any and all types of people as God has called us to love and care for one another. As a result we have many ministries to show love and support. We are a welcoming and loving body of believers that seek, every day, to be more like our Savior; any and all are welcomed and embraced here. God calls us to serve others. We continue to seek ways that we can serve our community and the people of the world through our ministries.
